Spiritual Listening. Spiritual serendipity - intentionally hearing that inner voice resulting in a benefit. Hearing, listening. Redeem ciphering - who is communicating, tone, meaning, purpose. Redeem the practice of discerning what is heard. Discard what doesn’t nourish you; edify, challenge to become more of the unique beauty of you. Redeem curious spiritual ears to hear and listen for God speaks in all of creation to you.

Listening - Mind

Andrew Newberg, MD & Mark Robert Waldman in their book Born to Believe explain there are 4 places we derive our beliefs from: Perception, Cognition, Social Consensus & Emotional Value. Each of these has their own volume control.

Is social consensus (sc) kicking cognition to the curb? Turn down the volume on sc so cognition can be heard. Redeem control of the volume by asking of the other influences to weigh in.

Listening - Body

This is tricky as our mind, body and soul are so intricately woven, an interconnection. That tummy rumbling lets you know you have not had food. Do you ignore or listen? If fasting for spiritual development or strengthening for immune resetting - you will ignore. That headache means there is something physical that is in pain. What is the source? Is it a biological, spiritual, emotional root? Tricky. The science that emotional responses to experiences are stored in our physical cells is gaining traction. Listening to your body is a whole person practice. Nourish your whole body (spirit, mind & physical) to help your cells repair themselves from experiences, tensions and illnesses.

Listening - Christian

Would love to learn how God prompts you, invites you to be more of you a creation of valuable purpose within this world (and beyond) without the jealousy, greed, hatred, fear, anxiety, anguish consuming you. God speaks to us to loosen our gaze on the harm, the destruction and turn towards injecting patience, forgiveness, mercy, service, connection for the benefit of ourselves and others. For me, it took awhile to hear the prompting voice within me of God. One day though, the voice was direct and clear. My thoughts were on helping another when I felt hands cup my face, a kind voice say ‘don’t worry about them, let’s just focus on you’. Pivotal experience to hear so directly from that which I call God communicate so clearly for my betterment. We all have many voices coming to us each and every day (and even when we are dreaming). God’s voice is always for your and another’s connection of love, peace to deepen. Harm never comes from God. May you hear God’s voice of love upon you.
